Our efforts are to provide greater understanding and appreciation of the trilobites of the Upper Mississippi Valley, (UMV).  To achieve this we will endeavor to present a synoptic view of the geology and paleontology of the UMV.

 

Though trilobites can be found in UMV formations ranging from the Cambrian through the Devonian our primary emphasis will be focused on the Ordovician.  The UMV formations encompassing the Ordovician age offer a diverse depositional system tied to Ordovician regimes elsewhere in North America.  We will explore those connections and encourage further research where the light of science shines less brightly.
